Math Facts Club

We will be starting our Math Facts Club for the year. The first Principals test will be on February 14th. In order to qualify the students will need to be able to do 25 addition and subtraction problems in 5 minutes with an 80% or better.

You can go to www.mathfactcafe.com to make practice sheets.

New Journals

New journals went out yesterday. We will use these journals until Spring Break. If your child looses it or it gets damaged please make sure they are still turning in their written entries. It does not have to be just in the journal any paper will do. Journals just make it easier for us to keep track of their growth.

Good bye

We are so sad to say good bye to Mrs. Flore. She will be done with her student teaching this Friday Dec. 9th. Please help us say good bye to her by having the kids make her something to let her know how much we will miss her. It could be as simple as a card made by the child.

Thank you for your support

Yee Ha

If your child come home saying they got a YEE HA today that means they were tested on their letter sounds and were able to give them all in a random order.
If they did get this honor please begin to work on our next goal which is letter names and sounds in random order.

So far we are doing great, and I am sure we will make our goal. As you remember I wanted all the children to master all their sounds by the end of the first quarter. The end is in just two weeks.

Thank you for all your help and support!!!!!!!!

lockdown

We had our lockdown this morning and it went well. Some of our students had a hard time being completely quiet but for the most part it was a good first run.
